4. Backfill the construction pit to DIN EN 1610 / DIN 4124 / DIN 18300 / NF P 98-331,
VOB and ATV-DVWK-A 127.
5. Properly complete the backfilling process. Take care to fill any cavities at the
collecting tank with a suitable tool (e.g. spade) and compact the back-fill by
hand.
ð
Place sidefill (sand with a particle size ≤ 8 mm) in layers of up to 300 mm
around the collecting tank until a height of 500 mm has been reached.
ð
Backfill the remaining pit with material (corresponding tosoil quality G1,
particle size < 16 mm) in layers of up to 300 mm.
6. Evenly compact the filling material to EN 1610 / DWA-A 139 and DIN 18300,
page 10, 3.11. During this process, continuously check the collecting tank for any
deformations, other signs of uneven load and installation errors.
Installation at high groundwater level
At a high groundwater level the weight of the concrete base may not provide
sufficient anti-lift protection for the collecting tank. For sufficient anti-lift protection
a larger concrete base has to be used, see the table below.

The piping has been properly connected. (

The system for lowering the groundwater level (if available) has been started up.
1. Fill the collecting tank with water.
2. Pour concrete with a cement content of 300 kg/m
3
into the pit in layers until
filling height H
min
has been reached (see table above). The upper edge of the
concrete base (2) has to be at least 100 mm above the anti-lift grouting collar
(4).
ð
For a filling height H
min
> 1 m: Pour concrete until a filling height of 1 m has
been reached. Then allow the concrete to set. Repeat this procedure until the
filling height H
min
has been reached.
3. Allow the concrete to set.
4. Backfill the construction pit to DIN EN 1610 / DIN 4124 / DIN 18300 / NF P 98-331,
VOB and ATV-DVWK-A 127.
5. Properly complete the backfilling process. Take care to fill any cavities at the
collecting tank with a suitable tool (e.g. spade) and compact the back-fill by
hand.
ð
Place sidefill (sand with a particle size ≤ 8 mm) in layers of up to 300 mm
around the collecting tank until a height of 500 mm has been reached.
ð
Backfill the remaining pit with material corresponding to soil quality G1,
particle size < 16 mm, in layers of up to 300 mm.
6. Evenly compact the filling material to EN 1610 / DWA-A 139 and DIN 18300,
page 10, 3.11. During this process, continuously check the collecting tank for any
deformations, other signs of uneven load and installation errors.
7. If a system for lowering the groundwater has been used, switch it off.
