Cause Remedy
1)

Worn shaft seal
Check flushing / sealing liquid
pressure. Renew shaft sleeve. Fit
new shaft seal.

Grooving, score marks or
roughness on shaft protection
sleeve / shaft surface.
Renewshaftsleeve. Fit new shaft
seal.

The pump runs noisy.
Correct the suction conditions.
Align pump. Rebalance rotor.

Check the piping connections and
