NOTE
To reduce friction forces when assembling the seal, wet the shaft sleeve and the
seat ring location with water.
6. Fit the rotating assembly of the mechanical seal (primary ring) on shaft sleeve
523 or shaft 210.
7.5.4 Fitting the impeller

The assembled bearing bracket as well as the individual parts are kept in a clean
and level assembly area.

All disassembled parts have been cleaned and checked for wear.

Any damaged or worn parts have been replaced by original spare parts.

The sealing surfaces have been cleaned.
1. Insert key 940.2 and push impeller 230 onto shaft 210.
2. Fasten impeller nut 920.4 and lockwasher 930 (see table: Tightening torques for
screwed connections at the pump

7.5.5 Installing the back pull-out unit

For back pull-out units without coupling, fit the coupling in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
1. If required, prevent the back pull-out unit from tipping over, e.g. by suspending
or supporting it. Then fit new or undamaged O-ring 412 on discharge cover 163.
2. Tighten hexagon nut 920.1 and hexagon head bolt 901.1 at the volute casing.
3. Bolt support foot 183 to the baseplate.
7.5.6 Mounting the motor
NOTE
Steps 1 and 2 do not apply to versions with spacer-type coupling.
1. Shift the motor to connect it to the pump via the coupling.
2. Fasten the motor to the baseplate.
3. Align pump and motor.

4. Connect the motor to the power supply (refer to manufacturer's product
literature).
