Remove inspection hole plugs, check brake linings. If
damaged or less than 4 mm lining remains the brake
shoes must be replaced.
With new vehicles the transmission
device of the brake system may be
adjusted after 20 operating hours. If
further wear occurs adjustment must
always be carried out at the wheel
brake.

After the wheel brakes have been set, the transmission device setting must also be checked!
When checking the setting of the wheel brakes or the transmission device turn the wheels in
direction of travel only. The wheels must turn freely when the brake is released.
G) Setting the cam brake
Type: 30-4010 (300 x 60)
(brake compensation in front of axle)
Always carry out setting or resetting of wheel brake first.
Support axle, move overrunning device and parking brake
to release position (ring hitch must be pulled out fully).
Attention!
Ensure that the trailed implement is secured to prevent
movement.
Release transmission device.
Turn the wheel in direction of travel and adjust adjusting
screw B by turning clockwise until the brake shoes start to
contact the brake drum and the wheel becomes more
difficult to turn.
Then release the adjusting screw by a half turn so that the
wheel turns freely and the brake shoes no longer contact
the brake drum.
Check the position of the axle lever. The angle
α
between
an imaginary vertical and the axle lever should be approx.
20° in the opposite direction to pulling direction.
