Deaerating the control valve block

Moisten the O-ring seal (2) with service oil.
Screw the filter bottom part (5) as far as it will go on the filter top part (1) and turn it back one
quarter-turn.
Pressurise the hydraulic system and check it for leaks.
High-pressure filter (8) of the work hydraulics:
Deaerate the control valve block,

Deaerating the control valve block

The control valve block must be deaerated after maintenance and repair work at the work
hydraulics system.
In order to deaerate the control valve block properly, the working functions must be actuated
with the system screw (1) screwed in and out.
Connect the hydraulic hoses(
,
) to double-acting control unit.
Disconnect the hydraulic hose (
).
In order to flush all trapped air out of the hydraulic system, actuate all working functions
(bale ejector, bale chute, for “cutitng unit” version: blade cassette, for “self-steering axle”
version: steering axle, for “starter aid” version: starter aid) several times.
Deaerating with system screw (1) screwed out
Move the control unit (
) into float position to depressurise the system.
Shut down and safeguard the machine,
.
Screw out the system screw (1) as far as it will go.
Remove the plastic cap on valve (K17).
WARNING! Increased risk of injury!
There is an increased risk of injury when the tractor
engine is running. Thus, secure the tractor against rolling away and never turn on the PTO
shaft.
Start the tractor.
Pressurise the control unit (
) to pressurise the hydraulic system.
Using an Allen key (2 mm), loosen the inner hexagon socket-head screw (2) by one rotation.
Collect escaping hydraulic oil in a suitable container and dispose of it properly.
