4.5 Mounting / setup
When it comes to applications with equipment category 1D or 2D the metallic parts of the light
alloy pressure transmitter run the risk of ignition through shock or friction.
The OPTIBAR * 5060 VGK5/6/D*A/W/V R/H/1/7/S/T*******(*)************** must be mounted
such that the probe cannot be bent or swung and so that it is effectively secured against touching
the tank wall, while considering other tank installations and the flow conditions in the tank.
4.6 USB connection
In the case of the OPTIBAR * 5060 VGK5/6/D*A/W/V R/H/1/7/S/T*******(*)U************* the
USB connection for service purposes or parameterisation may only be connected if there is no
explosive atmosphere present.
4.7 Removal and replacement of the red thread/dust cover
Depending on the version, the thread or dust covers that are screwed in upon delivery of the
device must be removed prior to start-up. The openings must be closed prior to start-up using a
method permitted for the protection type. Permitted and suitable cable glands or plugs must be
installed in accordance with the supplied documentation.
Prior to starting up the OPTIBAR * 5060 VGK5/6/D*A/W/V R/H/1/7/S/T*******(*)**************
check that all other openings have been closed in accordance with a method approved for that
protection type.
