• Always unplug the appliance before you clean it.
• Never immerse the appliance, the cable or the plug into water or another liquid.
• Never wash the motor block in the dishwasher or under running water. Clean it with a damp sponge and dry it
thoroughly.
• You can wash the blending leg and the blade in the dishwasher.
• In case food (for example carrots, plums, blueberries, etc.) stains the plastic accessories, rub the accessories with a
cloth moistened with cooking oil, then clean them normally.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Before using the appliance, clean the accessories with soapy water.
2. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
3. Put the food you want to blend in a container: it is recommended to use a narrow and deep container in order to
avoid spouts.
4. Insert the blending leg in the motor block and turn it clockwise until you hear the click that indicates the correct
positioning.
5. Put the head of the blending leg completely inside the food you want to blend.
6. Plug the appliance and lightly push the switch choosing one of the 2 speeds. (only for 2410594)
7. At the end of the use, unplug the appliance, turn the blending leg counter-clockwise and remove it from the motor
block.
Useful tips
• Do not fi ll the container more than 2/3 of total capacity in order to prevent food from overfl owing.
• For a correct functioning of the blender, the food should cover at least the lower part of the blending leg.
• To blend warm food, remove the cooking container from the heating source. For best results, move the hand blender
inside the container during the use.
• In case of stringy food (leek, celery, etc.) clean often the blending leg during the use as indicated in the instructions
below.
• Chop and pit fruits before blending.
• Do not use the hand blender with hard food such as coff ee, ice cubes, sugar, cereals, chocolate, etc.
• Let cooked food cool down a little before you put it in the container.
• Remove bones and nerves from the meat before you put it in the container.
