5. PC Program K-KONFIG
To program a KONTRONIK ESC by ProgUNIT a
Windows™ PC and the K-KONFIG PC software is
needed. This program can be downloaded form the
homepage www.kontronik.com.
Connect the ProgUNIT to a USB port on your
computer. Connect your ESC and power it up. Start
the K-KONFIG program. The following sreen will then
be displayed which allows the adjustment of the
available parameters.
The following parameters can be changed in the
different sections.
General
:
o
BEC-Voltage
- output voltage of the BEC. Be
sure that your receiver and servos can handle
this chosen voltage.
Limits
: Min 5000mV - Max 8000mV
Default
: 5600mV
o
Reverse rotation
- changes the sense of
rotation of the motor. Changing two of the motor
wires can also do this.
o
Forward/Backward
– Activates back and force
function of the ESC.
o
Save file
– Configuration can be saved on the
PC
o
Load file
– A saved configuration file can be
loaded.
o
Load defaults
– here it`s possible to set / reset
to the defaults of a pre defined ESC mode (like
sports plane or helicopter). Stick ways have to
be learned before over the transmitter. Selecting
Mode 1 (APM / Reset) deletes all customer data
including the stick ways.
Battery
:
o
Type of Battery
– To ensure that the battery
management works correctly, please select the
used battery type.
Default
: LiPo
Caution
: necessary for correct function of ESC
o
Cut off voltage / cell
- the cut off / slow down
voltage can be adjusted here.
Limits:
NiCd/NiMH 700mV - 1200mV
LiPo 2700mV - 4000mV
LiFePo 1800mV - 2600mV
Caution
: too low values will damage the battery
o
Shutdown
– behavior if battery empty of
activated capacity limit is reached. Cut off
instead of limiting the power of the motor until
the voltage can be held is activated by - cut off.
In helicopter mode the power is slowly
decreased until the motor comes to a complete
stop.
o
Capacity limit
- set the maximum discharge
capacity limit. After reaching the set capacity the
battery management begins.
Limits:
Min 0.0Ah - Max 65.0Ah
Default:
0.0 means not active
