2. There are no operator serviceable parts inside this equipment. Service
should be provided only by a quali

ed service technician.
3. This equipment is provided with a detachable power cord which has
an integral safety ground wire intended for connection to a grounded
safety outlet.
a. Do not substitute the power cord with one that is not the provided
approved type. Never use an adapter plug to connect to a 2-wire
outlet as this will defeat the continuity of the grounding wire.
b. The equipment requires the use of the ground wire as a part of the
safety certi
fi
cation, modi
fi
cation or misuse can provide a shock
hazard that can result in serious injury or death.
c. Contact a quali
fi
ed electrician or the manufacturer if there
are questions about the installation prior to connecting the
equipment.
d. Protective earthing is provided by Listed AC adapter. Building
installation shall provide appropriate short-circuit backup
protection.
e. Protective bonding must be installed in accordance with local
national wiring rules and regulations.

System Requirements

System Topology
• Connect the one end of the supplied 1m CAT5 cable to your ATEM
switcher and the other end to the LAN port of the POE injector.
• Connect the RED RJ45 Connector of the supplied 2m CAT5 to the
POE port on the POE injector and the NEUTRIK connector end to
your kontrol device.
• Power up your ATEM.
• Power up your kontrol.
• Your kontrol unit should now boot up with a test sequence.

Web Con

guration
Your control devices comes with a basic web con
fi
guration tool to assist
with your setup. To enter the web con
fi
guration tool, power your control
device. During the pre-startup sequence your controller will display
fi
rmware version as well as your product serial number on the
SmartSwitch. For products without a display or SmartSwitches, this
information can also be found in the web con
fi
g.
After the pre-boot sequence you will notice the CUT button change
from AMBER to RED. Press and hold the RED cut button until all Buttons
turn red. You are now in con
fi
t mode and your controller will default to
IP 192.168.10.99. This feature is to assist in cases where you cannot
remember the IP you have set before.
Now that you are in con
fi
g mode you can connect your computer to
your controller. Keep in mind that your Control device does not have a
DHCP server and that you will have to set your computer IP manually.
After you have con
fi
gured your computers IP settings, you can now
open your favorite web browser and type 192.168.10.99 into the
address bar. you will then be directed to your Kontrol web con
fi
guration
tool from where you can change some basic settings.
After you have made your required changes. click submit and power
cycle your device for changes to take e
ff
ect
