Page GB-4 Safety
– The gas pressure regulator must be
replaced after ten years at the latest.
– Only gas pressure regulators with the
specified pressure may be used (see
“Technical data” on page GB-29).
– Modification or replacement of any
kind, especially to nozzles or gas pres-
sure regulators, may result in serious
consequences such as explosion or
fire. Such modifications will invalidate
the warranty and the approval.
– Before connecting new gas tanks, let
the device cool off completely.
– Smoking and any open fire is forbidden
during the handling of gas.
– Only store gas tanks outdoors.
– Protect gas tanks against direct sun-
light.
– Never use rusted or dented gas tanks
or bottles with a damaged valve.
– Gas tanks must always be used stand-
ing; never lay them down.
– Never try to take apart the gas valve or
the pressure regulator.
– Never expose gas hoses to direct sun-
light or allow them to come into contact
with heated surfaces.
– In case of malfunctions, shut off the reg-
ulator immediately and wait until the fire
is out.
– Always shut off the gas tank regulator
before conducting any work on the
device.
– Regularly check all gas line connec-
tions, lines and regulators for leaks.
– When checking for leaks, ensure that
there are no sources of ignition in the
vicinity. Do not smoke!
– Inspect the gas hose for cracks or dam-
age before each use.
– Porous or damaged hoses and fittings
must be replaced.
– Only use outdoors.
– Turn off the gas supply at the gas con-
tainer after use.
– Use only commercially available regu-
lators and hoses commonly used with
gas barbecues.
– Ventilation openings of the gas tank
installation room must never be closed.
– Before changing the gas tank, allow the
gas-fired grill to cool down fully. When
changing the gas tank, keep away from
any source of ignition.
– The gas tank must not be placed inside
the barbecue!
– Never use the grill in hollows in which
leaked gas may collect.
Risk of fire!
– Do not store fuels or other flammable
vapours or liquids near the barbecue.
Do not work with such substances near
the barbecue.
– Do not store gas cylinders not con-
nected for immediate use near the grill.
– Read the operating instructions through
before starting to use.
– The appliance must be kept away from
flammable materials during operation.
Keep a minimum distance of 60 cm
from such materials in all directions.
Keep it at least 5 m away from gas
tanks not connected to the grill for use.
Keep it at least 10 m away from fuels or
other flammable vapours or liquids.
– Do not move the appliance during use.
– The appliance may not be modified.
Any modification of the appliance may
be dangerous.
– Lay the gas hose in such a way that it is
not twisted or bent. Use the existing
guide elements on the unit to lay the
hose.
