2. Installation procedures
(1) Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord
from the power outlet.
(2) Raise the dual scan document feeder.
(3) To detach the left side of the document pad from
the feeder, separate the two faces of the hook-
and-loop fastener (at two places on the left).
Note:
When removing the document pad, pull apart the
hook and loop fastener one by one. Pulling the
mall at once may damage the sponge.
(4) Remove the cover shown in the illustration.
(Two screws)
(5) Remove the ground terminal. (One screw)
(6) Remove the connector fastened to the guide
plate.
(7) Remove the guide plate. (One screw)
