Procedure

1

Find a suitable location for the Radio Unit according to your environment.

2

Use the mounting brackets and fasten the Radio Unit to the mounting arrangement
with four M3 screws.
The Radio Unit must be mounted in a 45-degree angle.

3

Connect the Combined Ethernet and power cable to the connector on the Radio Unit.

4

Connect the Ethernet end of the cable to the user equipment.

5

Connect the power end of the cable to a power source on the vessel.

Mounting the Radio Unit using helmet
brackets

The Radio Unit can be supplied with bracket for mounting the Radio Unit to a helmet or
similar rounded structure.

Context

The Radio Unit is connected to external equipment with the Ethernet end of the combined
Ethernet and power cable. This cable is attached to the Radio Unit by a connector.

Attach the helmet mounting brackets to the four mounting holes on the Radio Unit
with four M3 screws.
