Defining the IP address on the computer's network adapter

You must define which IP Address and Subnet mask the Ethernet adapter in the computer
shall use for this communication. As long as you do not replace the computer or the
network adapter, you only need to do this once.

Prerequisites

This procedure is made for the Microsoft

Windows

7 and 10 operating systems.

It is assumed that you are familiar with the Windows

operating systems, computer

technology, and interface principles.

Procedure

Close all the programs that are running on the computer.

Open the

Network Connections

dialog box.

This procedure is made for the Microsoft

Windows

10 operating system.

In the bottom-left corner of your desktop, select the Windows

search function.
