STEP 3: Awning Set-up
1) Join awning poles (#5). Place the tip of the pole through grommet at the end of the awning.
2) Tie a small loop in the end of the guyline. Place loop over the tip of the pole. Stake the guyline. Adjust
slider so guyline is taut. Repeat on other side.
Tips:
•
For wet weather, slant awning down and away from tent so rain will drain away from tent.
•
In strong wind or heavy snow conditions, roll and stow awning.
•
When stowing, roll awning down and under so water will run off and not pool on the roll. This
is best done with two people.
Special Features
●
Funnel-flow vents. Designed so a gentle exterior breeze will actually funnel into the vents and force air
to move through the tent. Positioned at the top to help allow heat to escape on a hot day. Zip them closed
when not needed.
●
Interior tie-rings. Use them to clip on the organizer accessories, attach gear, lights, or clotheslines.
●
Pocket Organizers. There are two that are permanently attached and two that clip on. Clip them just
under the vents. Put one on each side or clip one to the bottom of the other.
WARNING
Tie-rings, and organizers are designed for lightweight gear
and personal articles. Do not place heavy objects in them or
damage to the tent or injury to the occupants may occur.
●
Cinch button tie-backs. Use to securely tie back doors, windows, and awning.
