Obtaining the Meter Reading in Manual Exposure Mode

If you are using Manual Exposure mode and want to set an exposure for a specific 
brightness value within the scene, switch to Center-Weighted (page 6-10) or Spot metering  
(page 6-11) and use the following method.

1

Center the main subject inside 
the viewfinder and/or move in 
closer until the reference circle 
for Center-Weighted Metering 
or Spot Metering is fully 
covered by the subject.

Lightly press the Shutter 
Release button.
