Uninstalling the Printer and Printer Driver
IMPORTANT:
You must have Administrator privileges to uninstall the
printer and printer driver.
WINDOWS XP
Operating System
1.
Select
Start>Printers and Faxes
.
The Printers and Faxes dialog box appears.
2.
Right-click the printer you want to remove, and select Delete .
3.
Click Yes .
4.
To remove the printer driver software:
• Select File>Server Properties .
• Select Drivers .
• Select the printer driver you want to remove, and click Remove .
• Click Yes .
• Click Close .
WINDOWS VISTA
Operating System
1.
Select
Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Printer
.
The Printers dialog box appears.
2.
Right-click the printer you want to remove, and select Delete .
3.
Right-click the dialog and select Run as administrator>Server
Properties .
4.
If the User Account Control dialog appears, click Continue .
5.
To remove the printer driver software:
• Select Drivers .
• Select the printer driver you want to remove, and click Remove.. .
• Select “Remove driver and driver package”.
• Click OK .
• Click Yes .
• Click Delete .
• Click OK .
