Introduction
Read this documentation before the start-up
procedure. This is the prerequisite for working
safely and trouble-free handling.
Observe the safety and warning alerts in this
documentation and on the motor.
This documentation is a permanent component of
the described product, and should be handed over
for the buyer's disposal.
Sources of danger that can lead to injuries, are
identifi ed with the warning symbol. Together with the
warning symbol, a signal word is used (DANGER,
WARNING or CAUTION), in order to point out the
probability and the severity of the potential injury.
Additionally, a danger symbol can be used to identify
the type of danger.
DANGER
designates an imminently
threatening danger. If they are not
avoided, death or severe injury can
result.
Warning
designates a possibly dangerous
situation. If they are not avoided,
death or the severest injuries can
result.
Caution
designates a possibly dangerous
situation. If they are not avoided,
light or minor injuries can result.
Additionally, the product can be
damaged.
Warning!
The motor exhaust gases produced by this product
contain chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects,
or damage to reproductive organs, according to
research results from the state of California.
Checkup before operation
Warning!
Before the start-up procedure, always conduct
a visual inspection. If there are loose, damaged or
worn-out operational and/or fastening parts, the
device must not be used.
Controlthe general state of the motor:
exterior and underside of the motor for signs of
an oil or gasoline leak
signs of damages
all screws and nuts are tightened
all shieldings and shrouds are suitable
fuel
levelmotor oil
levelair fi lter inserted
