These instructions should be read carefully and retained after installation by the end user for future
reference and maintenance.

INSTALLATION
• Installation of this PIR should only be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person to
the current IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
• Before installation/maintenance, ensure the mains supply to the fitting is switched off, and the
circuit fuses are removed or switched off
• Check the total load on the circuit (including when this PIR is fitted) does not exceed the rating of
the circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker
• Please note the IP (Ingress of Protection) rating of this PIR when deciding the location for
installation
• This product is class II, double insulated and does not require an earth
• Please recycle this unit
GENERAL
WARRANTY
• The unit should be recycled in the correct manner when it reaches the end of its life. Check local
authorities for where facilities exist
• Clean with a soft dry cloth only, do not use aggressive cleaning products or solvents which may
damage the fitting
• These PIR detectors are not suitable for fluorescent lighting which require a time delay of at least
30 minutes
Note: Ensure the load is compatible with the PIR sensor
• Provide suitable cabling to the required location
• Cut a suitable hole in the ceiling as per the cut-out detail (See Fig 1) ensuring that it does not
infringe with electrical cables, water/gas pipes or ceiling joists
• Remove the transparent cover on the rear to access the connection terminals by pinching together
from the sides
• Wire terminals on the PIR ensuring correct polarity is observed (see Fig 2)
• Replace the transparent cover

• If the settings are applied as shown in fig 3, when movement is detected within range, the load will
come on instantly and stay on for period of 10 sec ± 3 sec
• Fig 3 also shows the lux level to daylight and will work during the day when the lux level is
approximately 2000lx
• If the lux level is rotated fully clockwise (towards the moon), it will operate when
the lux level is 3lx
Note: If the PIR is placed too close to a window, the PIR may detect movement through the window.
• Insert unit into ceiling
• Switch on the power supply and test for correct operation
This product has a warranty of 1 year from date of purchase. Failure to install this product in
accordance with the current edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations, improper use, or removal of
the batch codes will invalidate the warranty. If this product should fail within its warranty period it
should be returned to the place of purchase for a free of charge replacement. ML Accessories does
not accept responsibility for any installation costs associated with the replacement product. Your
statutory rights are not affected. ML Accessories reserve the right to alter product specification
without prior notice.
