Cable Specifications 

All cables used for the Gebrüder Martin CAT system must meet the CAT5 specification along with the 
requirements of the TIA-568 B standard. 

 

 

Possible malfunction of the light system! 

Using RJ45 cables that do not comply with the above-mentioned specification can lead to mLB failure. 

•

 

Make sure that both cable ends are identically connected to the respective plug. 

•

 

Use only 1:1 cables – do not use crossover or host cables! 

Cables supplied by Gebrüder Martin comply with the TIA-568 B standard, see section 5.1.2 “Pin 
Assignment acc. to TIA-568 B”, page 27.

The 4 twisted-pair wires P1 to P4 of a CAT5 cable are 
assigned to the plug-in contacts 1–8 as shown on the
