2. Wiring and Pinning

Wiring:
If you use two or more speakers, please observe the c/- polarity of the loudspeakers at
the amplifiers in order to guarantee an even-phased and therefore balanced sound.
We recommend you use the supplied Kling & Freitag connection cables. In order to avoid loss of
performance, wire gauges should be of at least 2.5mm

, and longer cables should have an even
greater diameter. An acceptable wire gauge can be calculated using the following formula:

Pinning:
The loudspeaker is equipped with two parallel connected Speakon NL4 jacks (but certain versions
have two XLR jacks). For pinning details please see the table below.
If you are using 4-pin cables with Speakon plugs, the connectors 2+/2- can be used to transmit
other audio signals.
When using the XLR plugs, please take care to use the XLR-‘Male’ (plug contacts exposed) as
input in order to ensure that there is no physical contact with dangerous currents.
For 100V versions, please take the pinning information from the inscriptions on the connection
terminal.
If several loudspeakers are connected, the signal can be linked through from one loudspeaker to
the next. Please make sure that the total impedance of the loudspeakers R (
