Appropriate use
• Keep children under 8 years of age away from the appli-
ance and the cable.
• This appliance may only be used by children over 8 ye-
ars of age and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge
if they are supervised or have received instructions on
the safe use of the appliance and understand the risks
involved.
Children must not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by
children without supervision.
• The appliance is intended for installation in a suitable
piece of furniture.
• It must not be installed behind a decor/door to avoid
overheating.
• The appliance is intended for indoor use, such as in
private households, kitchen areas in shops, offices and
other working environments or for guests in accommo-
dation.
• The microwave oven is intended for heating food.
Drying food or clothing and warming heating pads,
slippers, sponges, damp cloths and the like may cause
injury or fire.

Important safety instructions
Read the following instructions carefully and keep them
for reference if necessary.
To avoid electric shocks
• WARNING: Touching some of the installed components
can lead to serious injury or death!
Do not disassemble or modify this appliance.
• WARNING: This appliance must be grounded.
Improper grounding may result in electric shock.
In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding re-
duces the risk of electric shock by providing a dischar-
ge for the electric current.
The cable of this appliance is equipped with a ground
wire and a grounding plug.
The plug must be connected to a properly installed and
grounded power outlet.
Consult a qualified electrician or service technician if in
doubt about grounding.
• The cable supplied is short to reduce the risks of possi-
ble trapping or tripping over a longer cable.
If a long cable or an extension cable is used, follow the
instructions in the corresponding chapter.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
qualified electrician to prevent hazards.
• Repair and maintenance work on the appliance may
only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
To avoid strong microwave exposure
• Do not attempt to operate this unit with the door open
as this may result in harmful exposure to microwaves.
It is important not to damage or manipulate the safety
interlock.
• Do not place anything between the front of the appli-
ance and the door and avoid leaving residues of dirt
or cleaning agents on the sealing surfaces.
• If the door or door seal is damaged, the oven must not
be put into operation until it has been repaired by a
qualified electrician.
•
It is dangerous for unqualified personnel to carry out
maintenance or repair work, especially if a cover is
removed to protect against microwaves.
• If the appliance is not kept in a good clean condition, its
surface may be damaged. This can not only impair the
service life of the appliance, but also lead to dangerous
situations.
