Tools Required:
• Scissors
• Tie Wrap Gun or Diagonal Cutters
POD should be removed from Mask when installing or removing communication assembly. Mask strap DOES
NOT need to be removed for installation or removal or communications assembly.
Procedures for installing assembly into mask is the same for both the right and left communications ports.
1) Using a sharp pair of scissors cut off the end of one
of the communications ports, located below the bottom
edge of the mask frame.
2) Push the microphone into the port. (The microphone
will appear to be too large, but the seal easily stretches.)
Ensure the main body is fully inserted into the com-
munications ports with the leading edge of the cut port
resting on the upraised edge on the main body of the
communications assembly.
Confirm solid black side of the microphone is facing to-
wards diver’s mouth
