STEAMER TRAY INSTRUCTIONS
(MODEL 9091 ONLY)
The steamer tray provided in your package allows you to use your cooker as a steamer when as-
sembled to your pot’s basket. Follow the below directions for proper assembly and use of the steam
-
er tray. The Use and Care Manual must also be completely read and understood in conjuction with
this instructional sheet before use of the outdoor cooker.
ASSEMBLY OF STEAMER TRAY
1. Locate the steamer tray and bolt package (four bolts, lockwashers and nuts.)
2. Open the lid to the pot and place steamer tray into the pot’s basket. Make sure tray is
placed against the back of the basket to allow for an opening between the steamer tray and
front of basket to view and add to water level while cooking. The raised steamer tray
extension’s (4) should fit over and around the side edges of the basket.
3. Align the holes provided on each steamer tray extension to holes provided on the basket.
Attach steamer tray extension pieces to pot’s basket using the four bolts, nuts and
lockwashers. Make sure steamer tray is securely attached using all 4 bolts, nuts and
lockwashers to pot’s basket before cooking with the steam tray or raising basket/tray from
pot.

OPERATION OF STEAMER TRAY
1. Add water into the pot to a level approximately 1” below the bottom of the steamer tray.
2. Add seasoning as desired to the water (tray and basket can be lifted up and away from
water to add seasoning before cooking.)
3. Place food onto steamer tray and close lid to the pot.
4. Light cooker according to the instructions provided in your Use and Care Manual.
5. Periodically check the water level inside of the pot during cooking by lifting the lid and
viewing the water level through the opening between the basket and steamer tray.
Add water if necessary.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE TO NEVER ALLOW ALL OF THE STEAMING LIQUID TO
EVAPORATE. A HOLE WILL BE BURNED INTO THE BOTTOM OF AN EMPTY POT
ON A LIT COOKER. ADD WATER IF NEEDED WHILE COOKING. USE CAUTION
WHEN OPENING THE POT’S LID AS THE LID, HANDLES, COOKING LIQUID AND
STEAM WILL BE EXTREMELY HOT. USE WELL-INSULATED POT HOLDERS OR
OVEN MITTS FOR PROTECTION FROM HOT SURFACES OR SPLATTER FROM
COOKING
LIQUIDS.
