PFX2731S
Preparation
This chapter describes how to prepare this product for use.
You can control this product using the application software BPC4000. A VISA library and BPC4000 must
be installed in the PC to control.
For details on how to install and control it, see the BPC4000 manual.
For information about installing and moving this product, see “Precautions When Choosing the Installation
Location” and “Precautions for Moving the Product” in the safety information manual.
When using or storing this product, be sure to observe the temperature and humidity ranges. For
environmental conditions, see General Specifications
(p.45) .
Connecting the Power Cord
This product conforms to IEC Overvoltage Category II (energy-consuming equipment supplied from a
fixed installation).
A terminal block cover is attached to the AC INPUT terminal block when the product
is shipped from the factory. This cover prevents the terminals from being touched
unintentionally. Attach the terminal block cover regardless of whether you are using
the AC INPUT terminal block. If they are damaged or lost, contact your Kikusui agent
or distributor.
WARNING Risk of electric shock.
• Before you connect the power cord, turn off the switchboard breaker (a switch that
cuts off the power supply from the switchboard).
• This product conforms to IEC Safety Class I equipment (equipment with a
protective conductor terminal). Be sure to ground the product to prevent electric
shock.
• Connect the protective conductor terminal to earth ground.
• Be sure to have a qualified engineer make the connection to the switchboard.
• When you connect the power cord, attach the terminal block cover regardless of
whether this product is in use.
CAUTION Inside this product, protection circuits are connected to match the polarity of input terminal.
Be sure to connect the L, N, and (
GND) terminals correctly between the switchboard and
this product.
• Use the supplied power cord to connect to the AC power line. If the supplied power cord
cannot be used because the rated voltage is incompatible, have a qualified engineer
select an appropriate power cord that is 5 m or less in length. If obtaining a power cord is
difficult, contact your Kikusui agent or distributor.
• The POWER switch can be used to disconnect this product from the AC power line in an
emergency. Provide enough space around the POWER switches to ensure that they can
be turned off at any time.
