Inspection Bef ore Star ting
Al w ays inspect and con fi rm the follo wing items before be ginning an actual test.
If an y abnormality or f ailure is found in the “Inspection Before Starting, ” immediately
stop using the test probe and contact your Kikusui distrib utor or agent for repairs.
■
T est pr obe cab le and lo w v olta ge side test lead wire
• Check for broken sheathing and loose or cracked connectors.
• Confirm electrical continuity.
■ Star t s witc h
• Confirm that the switch operates smoothly when pressed.
■
Contact pin
• Check for any signs of damage.
• Check the pin for loose connection.
Stop Use in the Event of F ailure
In the follo wing cases, the test probe is defecti v e. T o minimize hazards, immediately turn
of f the PO WER switch of the T ester and stop using the test probe.
• The HV LED does not light.
• The on/off status of the HV LED of the test pr obe is inconsistent with
that of the D ANGER lamp on the T ester .
• The HV LED remains lit e ven when y ou release y our f ing er fr om the
ST AR T s witc h.
•
Implement measures so that no one can use the test probe until it
has been repaired.
•
T o minimiz e potential hazards , alw a ys contact y our Kikusui distr ib -
utor or agent f or repairs .
The pin is correctly attached.
The pin connection is loose.
Pin adjustment
1. Turn the holder counter clockwise.
2. Turn the pin fully clockwise.
3. Turn the holder fully counter clock -
wise .
