6.3
Visual inspection
To carry out a visual inspection of the pull-rope emergen-
cy stop switch, proceed as follows:
1. Before starting work, isolate the system from the
power supply. Secure the system from being
switched on again. Cover any adjacent, live parts so
that they cannot be touched.
2. Check the pull-rope emergency stop switch for dirt
and ice. Trigger lever (

) and reset lever (

) must not
be blocked by dirt or ice
. Clean the
pull-rope emergency stop switch if it is dirty or iced
up
3. Check the pull-rope emergency stop switch and its
components for distortions (e. g. caused by the use
of force) and damage (e. g. corrosion):

stop switch

Only an electrician may work on the device.

Devices which are deformed, damaged or have dam-
aged components must not be used.
Always replace deformed or damaged devices. Re-
place any damaged component.
