7. Storing LATCH , the assembly of top tether
and removing the protection shield
7.1 Storing LATCH connectors
Slide both LATCH connectors and belt adjuster
into LATCH storage pockets (Fig. 55).
7.2 Storing top tether
Roll the top tether belt around the top tether hook
and put it into the storage pocket at the backside
of the headrest (Fig. 56).
• An unsecured LATCH connector can injure occupants in a crash.
Store LATCH connectors in storage pocket when not in use.

• It could be hazardous, if the car were to brake suddenly, if the top tether
hook hangs loosely at the seat.
