ActiveSync Setup
•
Microsoft ActiveSync is used for the transmission of files
between desktops and devices, and for the
synchronization of various types of data. Generally,
WindowsCE-based devices communicate through
ActiveSync.
•
Devices installed with Windows CE 6.0 or higher must be
equipped/used with ActiveSync 4.5 or higher.
•
If to install Microsoft ActiveSync, the following processes
should be followed.
•
Download the latest ActiveSync from websites related or
relevant to Microsoft Windows CE.
•
website and download the most current version of
ActiveSync : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
•
Install ActiveSync (v4.5 or higher) on the desktop.
•
After the installation of ActiveSync, connection will be
prioritized and attempted. At this moment, connect the
device and it will be automatically linked.
•
If not connected, go to <File> → <Connection Settings>.
•
Set connections related to USB, Serial or others in an exact
manner, and then press OK button.
•
Remove the main body and then connect it again.
ActiveSync Directions
•
If “Unknown Device” notice shows on the display, after
the computer has already detected a USB Device
If turning on the Power with the unit plugged already
into <USB Cable>, such status-notice can be shown.
Remove the unit from <USB Cable> and then connect
the unit back to it. ActiveSync will work.
•
If such notice as “Connecting…” holds for a long time
on ActiveSync
First, remove the unit from the <USB Cable> to
disconnect. From [ActiveSync], go to File ▶
Connection Settings ▶<Allow USB Connections> and
then press [OK] button. Connect the unit again.
•
If “Unknown Device” notice continuously shows on the
display after several times of failures in connecting the
device
Users occasionally face failures in connecting the
device due to an error in the USB Host’s status.
Remove the unit from <20pin USB Cable> and then
Re-boot the computer. Connect the unit to <20pin
USB Cable> again and the application will work.

If the device stops working, when the main battery’s
power has been removed and connected back in
To avoid this problem, press [Power] button of the
unit before removing the battery or touch [Close]
button of Start Menu with the stylus pen to let
WindowsCE pass through “Shutdown’ processes.
If the device does not operate properly after
inevitably removing the battery, Do Hard-Reset by
pressing [OK] [Reset] button at a time.
