Verification Tests Performance Verification
AC Voltage Gain Verification
Connect the AC Standard across the multimeter HI and LO input terminals as
shown in Figure 4-5.
1 Set up the multimeter as follows:
Reset the multimeter
*RST
Configure for AC voltage, 100mV CONF:VOLT:AC 0.1
Select Slow AC filter DET:BAND 3

Set the AC Standard output to 100 mV at 1 kHz.

1 Some calibrators may have difficulty driving the multimeter and cable load at this V-Hz output. Use short, low-capacitance cable
to reduce calibration loading. Verification can be performed at >195 Vrms. New test limits can be computed from the accuracy
specification shown in chapter 1 for the actual test conditions used.
Q = Quick performance verification test points.
The 50 kHz ac voltage test points may fail performance
verification if the internal shields have been removed and
reinstalled. You must recalibrate the ac voltage function any time
the multimeter’s internal shields have been removed and
reinstalled. Consult the “AC Voltage Gain Adjustment” to
recalibrate the ac voltage function.
