Configuration Example: M1740A used with E7760B
The E7760B Wideband Transceiver is designed specifically to use the M1740A;
all six of the mm wave ports of the E7760B are able to provide a combined IF,
LO, DC, and Control signal to the
LO/Pwr/Ctrl/IF In
port of the M1740A.
In the example illustrated below, the IF test signal to the DUT (generated by
the E7760B) is applied to the
LO/Pwr/Ctrl/IF In
port. The LO input to the
upconverter is combined with the IF input at the same port. The signal returned
from the DUT is downconverted and supplied to the
LO/IF Out
port. The port to
which this is connected on the E7760B also provides an LO input to the
downconverter.
