Troubleshooting
Caution, risk of electrical voltage when the control unit housing is opened. Work on electrical components
may only be carried out by specialist st2.2 (page 2.2).

Notes
Battery fault
Battery is missing or faulty
Remove the mains plug, connect
batteries, replace by new batteries if
necessary.
When the unit is ready to function, a
running light appears on the display
again.
- Initialisation: The system
can be put into operation, i.e.
it is functional. Alarm can be
acknowledged.
- Operation: The fault message
appears after a maximum of 5
minutes. The system is ready
for operation, manual mode is
possible.
Motor fault
- Initialisation: “Motor” control
cable is not connected, or is
broken
- During operation: “motor”
control cable faulty
Remove the mains plug, disconnect
the battery; check the control cable
for correct connection or passage,
replace motor if necessary.
Fault detection only takes place
during operation (see 8.2 “Add.
funct”). - Initialisation: Cannot
be put into operation
- During operation: Fault
detection during manual
operation test cycle/backwater
Probe fault
Initialisation: “Probe” control
cable is not connected,
connected with inverse polarity
or is broken
- During operation: “Probe”
control cable faulty
Remove the mains plug, deactivate
the battery; check the control cable
for correct connection or passage,
replace probe if necessary.
The probe is scanned every 2
seconds.
Flap fault
Flap cannot be closed
completely during start-up or
by the “test” key, i.e. the flap
is blocked by an object in the
backwater flap
- Wrong lever position during
cover fitting
Remove the mains plug, deactivate
the battery, open the Staufix cover,
eliminate the blockage and return to
operation
Recommendation: Inform a specialist
company
Caution: Check position of the
operating valve! The control
attempts to close the flap 3
x in the interval and perhaps
eliminate the blocking object
in the process. If the object
can be removed by the flap
movement during these cycles,
the system is ready to be used
again. If this does not work,
the system switches to fault.
Acknowledgement of the
acoustic signal is possible. It
is also possible to remove the
object by flushing the line. This
can be checked by pressing
the test key again. In the event
of a negative result, the fault
message appears again; the
object must be removed as
described under remedial
measures.
- Backwater detected. The flap
cannot be closed completely,
however, i.e. it is blocked by an
object
Close the emergency valve. After
the end of backwater, remove the
blockage as described
