#291322 AniScale Animal Scale
Service Manual
You can change basic settings and calibrate the animal scale in the setup menu. Only change settings after consultation with the manufacturer.
1. Operation
1.1 Button functions
Button Function
SETUP
Open the setup menu (hold down when switching on)
ESC
Exit setup.
Discard changes.
ENTER
Next menu item.
Confirm permanent change
Arrow keys (
/
) Change current parameters.
1.2 Open setup menu
The device is off. Hold down the setup button when switching the device on. The display will show
. You will now be asked for your password. Change the displayed value to ‘2’ using the arrow
keys and confirm with ENTER to open the setup menu. The display will show
.
1.3 Changing parameters
• You can scroll through the parameters in the setup menu using ENTER
(see table in paragraph 3). You can change each value using the arrow keys.
• If you move to the next parameter using ENTER, the changed value for this parameter
will be permanently saved. The display will show
.
• If you do not want to make the change permanent, then discard the change with ESC.
The display will show
.
1.4 Close setup menu
You can exit the setup menu using ESC
2. Calibrating the animal scale
Proceed as follow to calibrate the animal scale:
1. Open the setup menu as described above.
2. Set the amplification of the AD converter (Gain). The amplification should be selected
so that the measured analogue value under full scale load is around 30,000 (the measured
analogue value is also displayed in the lower display line in parallel to the set amplification).
The value may not exceed 32,767. Confirm the entry with ENTER.
3. Menu item CAL2 will be shown on the display. Press the
button to start the calibration. The
measured analogue value will be displayed. Once the value has stabilised, press the ENTER key
4. You will be taken to menu point SCL2. Enter the weight you used for calibration under CAL2 here.
Confirm the entry with the ENTER key.
5. Menu item CAL1 will now be shown on the display. Remove the load from the scale.
Press the
button to start the calibration. The analogue value measured on the empty scale
will be displayed. Once the value has stabilised, press the ENTER key to confirm.
6. Press the
button once in menu item SCL1; leave the value set to ‘0’.
Confirm with the ENTER key.
7. Set the resolution of the display in menu item
. The resolution must be greater than
1/4000 of the measuring range.
8. All other settings should also be sensibly specified. They do not, however, affect calibration.
If the calibration does not work, or the measured analogue value does not change with the weight,
please contact the manufacturer.
