PBC(Playback Control) Function On/Off
for VCD version 2.0

Each time you touch [ PBC ], the mode switches
as follows:

" ON " 

PBC function is turned on

" OFF " 

PBC function is turned off

Setting the Optical Output Mode

Converts linear PCM (LPCM) voice signals
recorded on the DVD disc to down sampling 48
kHz digital signals and outputs them from the
optical cable.

Each time you touch [ Digital Out ], the mode
switches as follows:

When playing DTS-encoded (CDs), excessive
noise may be exhibited from the analog stereo
outputs. To avoid possible damage to audio
system, the consumer should take proper pro-
cautions when the analog stereo outputs of the
DVD player is connected to an amplification
system. To enjoy DTS Digital Surround (TM)
playback, an external 5.1 channel DTS Digital
Surround (TM) decoder (KDS-P900) system must
be connected to the digital output (S/PDIF,
AES/EBU, or TosLink) of the DVD player.

Switching to the Rating Level (parental
lock) Setting Screen.

Use this function to restrict the viewing of
movies to children of appropriate age levels
only.
