Play function of CD and Audio file
Setting up the Repeat Play and Scan Play.

Set up the play function
Using the Control knob, set your desired setup
item to On/Off.
For the operation method, refer to <Function
Control mode> (page 11).
When the play function is turned on, “ON” is
displayed.

"File Scan"
"SCAN"
Successively plays the audio files in the
current folder or genre.
"Folder RDM"
"RANDOM" Plays the audio files in the current folder
or genre at random.
"All Random"
"ALL RDM" Plays the audio files in the current disc,
USB device or Internal Memory at random.
"File Repeat"
"FILE REP" Plays the current audio file repeatedly.
"Folder Repeat" "FOLDER
REP"
Plays the audio files in the current folder
or genre repeatedly.
"(Track) Scan"
"SCAN"
Plays the beginnings of the music on the
current CD/MD one after another for 10
seconds each.
"Disc Random" "RANDOM" Plays the music on the current CD/MD
at random.
"Magazine RDM" "M.RDM"
Plays the music in the disc changer at
random.
"(Track) Repeat" "TRACK REP"Plays the current music on the current
CD/MD repeatedly.
"Disc Repeat"
"DISC REP" Plays the music on the current CD/MD
repeatedly.

Select an option for the selected item
Press the Control knob.
Pressing the Control knob switches between
options.

Exit Play Function Set mode
Press the [FNC] button.

• Only the icons available to the current source are
displayed.
• Location played with "File Scan"
- Audio file: First 10 seconds
- Music Editor media: First 10 seconds or the part picked
by Intro Skip (30 seconds)
During Intro Skip, turn the control knob left or right to
change the song.
The scan method depends on the Music Editor setting.
See the Music Editor help for details.
• During random play, turn the control knob right to
randomly select the next song.
