Using the cassette
Playing a cassette tape

Press TAPE mode button ( TAPE/MODE but-
ton on the remote control) to TAPE.

Press push open button to open the cassette
compartment door.

Insert cassette tape into the compartment with
the open edge facing down.

Close the door securely.

Press TAPE mode button ( TAPE/MODE but-
ton on the remote control) to select the de-
sired reverse mode.

Turn volume knob (press VOLUME UP or

Recording on a cassette tape
You can record from the radio or the CD player.
For best recording, use a normal bias tape (Type 1
only).
Recording from the radio

Insert a cassette tape into the tape compart-
ment and close door.

Press TUNER band button ( TUNER/BAND
button on the remote control) to TUNER and
select a radio station.

Press rec button ( REC button on the remote
control) to set the unit into recording standby
mode.
The icon “REC.” appears on the display.
