POWER SOURCE
When using the unit with the rechargeable battery (15 to 17 pages)

Open the lid of the included recharger and insert the rechargeable battery. Be sure to set the rechargeable battery in
the proper direction.

Close the recharger's lid, lift the plug and plug it into a power outlet.

The battery charge indicator lights.

The indicator turns off in about 3 hours.

Open the battery lid.

Insert the rechargeable battery, being sure to place it in the proper direction, and close the lid.
When using the unit with the Commercially sold AA alkaline battery (LR 6) (18 page)

Fasten the battery case securely to the unit and turn the
LOCK
knob in the direction of the arrow.

Open the included battery case.

Insert the battery in the case, being sure to place it in the proper direction, then close the lid.
Battery performance (full charged)

Make sure the HOLD switch has been released (19 page)

When the
HOLD
function is engaged, the unit will not respond to operation of the keys.
