Disc search (DISC SEARCH mode)

Preparation

Input the title.

(DISC SEARCH mode)

Activate the character search mode.

Press the MODE key.

Select “DISC SEARCH”.

Select “CHARAC. SEARCH”.

The disc titles beginning the specified character will be scrolled in the
display.

÷

If there is no disc title beginning with the specified character, “

NO

ENTRY

” will be displayed.

÷

When the 

MODE

 key is pressed during CHARAC.SEARCH mode, the

CHARAC.SEARCH mode is cancelled.

To quit CHARAC.SEARCH mode

Press the MODE key.

The display flashes.

Searching a disc by the disc title 

(CHARAC. SEARCH  mode)

By inputting the initial letter of the desired disc title, discs which have the disc titles beginning with that character can be
searched in sequence.

Input the initial letter of the disc title to be
searched.

When initial letter “A” is selected.

To search the next disc

To play the searched disc

The initial letters of disc titles are searched insensitively to the upper-
case and lowercase.

÷

Lowercase characters cannot be input in the CHARAC. SEARCH mode.

÷

If a desired character is not provided on the remote control keys, input
the character as follows. Press the 

CHARACTER (DOWN/UP)

 keys or

rotating the 

DISC SKIP

 knob until the desired character is displayed in

the flashing cursor position. Then, press the 

SET

 key.

÷

The type of characters which can be entered is switched each time the

CHARAC.

 key is pressed.

If disc is searched while the door panel is left open, the carousel rotates to move the search target disc on the front. If the search target
disc is being played, "

DXXX BUSY!

" is displayed.
