Charging a USB-Compatible Mobile Device
If your mobile device—for example, an iPod—comes with a USB cable, simply plug the cable into the
device and into a USB port on your Portable Power Outlet.
If your mobile device does not come with a USB cable, you can purchase Kensington USB Power Tips
that allow you to charge your device with the Portable Power Outlet. For more information, visit
www.kensington.com
.
NOTE: Under certain circumstances, you may not be able to charge a mobile device using a USB power port on your
Portable Power Outlet. Please visit
www.kensington.com
for the latest information.
Surge Protection Indicator Light
The green surge protection indicator light indicates that surge protection is on and your equipment is
being protected.
If the indicator light turns off, the surge protection feature has stopped working and you should replace your
Portable Power Outlet.
4
WARNING! Your Portable Power Outlet can still power/charge devices even
after the surge protection stops working. Continuing to use your Outlet after
the indicator light goes out can damage your electronic devices.
