Ladder for

domestic use

Ladder for

professional use

-   Never stand higher than on the fourth rung from the top of the ladder.

-   Do not stand on the ladder for a long time without taking breaks regularly

     (tiredness entails risks).

-   Prevent transport damage, for example, by laying down the ladder properly.

-   Only use a ladder that is suitable for the job.

-   Do not use a ‘dirty’ ladder e.g., soiled by wet paint, mud, oil or snow.

-   Do not use the ladder during bad weather, such as during high winds.

-   A risk analysis according to the applicable legislation of the country in which the ladder is used professionally must be carried out.

-   During positioning the ladder, consider the risks of collusions e.g., by pedestrians,

vehicles or doors. If possible, secure windows and doors (except emergency exit doors)

     in the work area.

-   Use non-conductive ladders for unavoidable work on electricity.

-   Do not modify the design of the ladder.

-   Do not move the ladder with someone standing on it.

-   Always place ladders on their feet and not on a rung.

-   During work activities, always keep both feet on a rung of the ladder and always face the ladder.

Always use the ladder with rungs at the correct

angle.

65-75°

min.
1 m

Use the ladder only in the indicated direc-

tion (only applicable if the design of the

ladder makes this necessary).

UP

Do not lean the ladder against unsuitable

surfaces.

-   Never move a ladder starting at the top of the ladder.

-   For accessing a higher level, use only a ladder (single, telescopic and cord-operated  ladders) that has safety measures installed

(e.g., a safety step for accessing a roof, securing the ladder to an object, etc.).

Do not stand on the upper three rungs of a
