Returns the next entry from the event log and removes it from the log.
If there are no entries in the event log, returns the value
nil
.

When this attribute is set to
eventlog.DISCARD_NEWEST
, new entries are not be logged.
When this attribute is set to
eventlog.DISCARD_OLDEST
, the oldest entry is discarded when a new entry is
added.

When the log is full, the event log will ignore
new entries.
