Basic circuit configuration

The fundamental circuit configuration for Model 2520 is shown in 

Figure 3-1

. (See 

Figure 2-6

  for a more detailed equivalent circuit.) In addition to the laser diode current 

source and voltage measurement circuits, the unit has two separate photodiode channels, 
each of which includes a feedback ammeter and a 0-±20V voltage bias source.
