INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS

The NOVA SIREN electronic siren is a
high performance acoustic and visual
indicator, designed and manufactured
in keeping with CEI 79-2 criteria.
The siren is self-powered and is fi tted
with anti-tamper and anti-removal de-
vices, and a system to prevent the bat-
tery polarity from being inverted.
The NOVA SIREN siren has its own timer,
which allows the device to operate for
7 minutes, even when no command is
received from the control unit, in the
event of the wires being cut, tampering,
destruction, or continuous alarms gen-
erated by the control unit.

Package contents

- NOVA SIREN siren
- Installation instructions
- Fixture holes sheet/template
- Plugs to secure it to the wall

Warnings

Attention!

• Only qualifi ed personnel should open,

install and maintain the siren.

• The appliance registration data label

is positioned inside the siren base (

D

- Fig. 4).

Installation

• After have chosen a sheltered posi-

tion, protected against vandalism, use
the relative sheet to mark the position
of the holes in the chosen installation
spot.

• Remove the siren cover as illustrated in

fi gure 1.

• Detach and remove the anti-perforation

internal metallic protection (Fig. 2).

• Secure the siren base to the wall (Fig.

3), making sure that the tamper con-
tact facing the wall (

A

) locks into place

correctly.

If the surface chosen for the installation

of the siren is uneven, we recommend
using an additional plug in correspond-
ence to the tamper contact facing the
wall, so as to be able to use the screw to
“compensate for” any dips in the surface.
The exact position of this plug can be
seen on the sheet/template provided.

The spirit level at the top of the siren

base (

B

) is designed to facilitate correct

positioning.

• Make the electrical connections, con-

nect the battery (

BAT 2,2 Ah optional

and replace the cover, making sure that
both the tamper contacts lock into place
correctly (check for ohmic continuity at
the ends of the line if necessary).

The siren has an initial lock system that,
when started for the fi rst time, prevents
activation in the event of power from
the auxiliary battery only.

For future work on the siren, you will
need to set the control unit to test sta-
tus to prevent the alarm from being
tripped when the siren is opened.
