When the motor is installed and
operated on treatment units and
equipment from other manufacturers,
the provisions of
“Protection from electric shocks”,
“Leakage current”,
“Non-earthing of the application part”
according to DIN EN IEC 60601-1 must
be observed.
The connected dental treatment unit
must have controls for changing the
speed range and for changing the
direction of rotation.
Furthermore, information about effects
on safety, reliability and performance
must be given in the accompanying
documents, owing to responsibility
aspects.
Putting Into Operation
A supply of dry, clean compressed
and not contaminated air must be
provided, contaminated and humid
cooling air might cause damage
Mounting on the supply tube
Lightly spray O-rings on the supply tube with
KAVOspray.
Push the motor onto the supply tube. The
correct mounting position is automatically
obtained by turning the motor in the opposite
direction to the supply tube. Tighten the union
nut on the tube by turning in the direction
indicated by the arrow.
Contact the manufacturer for details
of the tube connection.
Spray water regulation
The spray water can be regulated continuously
using the regulating sleeve of the motor tube.
In the snapped-in position of the regulating
sleeve, the passage is fully opened.
Connecting the instruments to the motor
Attachable are all instruments with INTRA-
matic connection, according to ISO 3964
Do not fit or remove instrument with
motor running, because this may
result in malfunction.
Only use faultless handpieces.
Attachment
Attach the instrument to the motor and turn in
the direction of the arrow, with gentle pressure,
until the fixing lug snaps in audibly.
Removal
Pull off the instrument from the motor in the
axial direction.
