5 Operation | 5.10 Exporting data

Plug in a USB stick with treatment data and activate the synchronisation of the
USB stick in the settings of KaVo CONNECTbase to save data in KaVo CON-
NECTbase.
If this option is active, treatment data from a USB stick that is being plugged-in
is synchronised in KaVo CONNECTbase.

NOTE
Only data that is not yet present in KaVo CONNECTbase is being synchron-
ised. There is no synchronisation to updated data.
USB cable
Plug-in a USB cable and activate the synchronisation in the settings of KaVo
CONNECTbase to render data accessible from a connected computer.

The data can be copied to the KaVo CONNECTbase system, e.g. manually using
the Windows Explorer.
CAUTION
Data loss due to manual change/deletion of data on PC
Data of the KaVo CONNECTbase system that is manually changed or deleted on
the PC cannot be restored in KaVo CONNECTbase.
4 Perform manual changes to the KaVo CONNECTbase data on the PC only
after a thorough check.
5.10 Exporting data
Data can be exported using USB stick or USB cable.
USB stick
Plug-in a USB stick and activate the synchronisation of the USB stick in the set-
tings of KaVo CONNECTbase to save data on a USB stick.
When this option is active, the recorded image data is synchronised to the USB
stick at the end of the treatment.

If you plug-in a USB stick, the data can also be transferred manually to the USB
stick using the export function in the main menu.
2) USB cable
Plug-in a USB cable and activate the synchronisation in the settings of KaVo
CONNECTbase to render the data accessible on a connected computer.

The data is available on the PC for manual backup - this can then be done, e.g.
manually, using the Windows Explorer.
