▶ Perform wipe disinfection only, the use of spray disinfection and disinfection
baths is not feasible.
▶ Wipe the handpiece, protective shield, fibre-optic cable, and silicone holder
with a soft cloth and approved disinfectants.
▶ Use disinfectants according to the manufacturer's Instructions for Use.
▶ Please note the disinfectant safety data sheet.
6.2.2 Automated disinfection
CAUTION
Damage caused by improper cleaning/disinfection.
Do not sterilise the fibre-optic cable in a hot-air steriliser.
▶ Subject the fibre-optic cable to thermodisinfection and sterilisation.
6.3 Drying
6.3.1 Manual drying
▶ Blow off the outside of handpiece, protective shield, fibre-optic cable, and sili‐
cone holder with compressed air until no water drops are visible any longer.
6.3.2 Automatic Drying
Not applicable.
6.4 Sterilisation
Note
The fibre-optic cable can be subjected to sterilisation.
Sterilization in a steam sterilizer in compliance with DIN EN 13060
CAUTION
Damage caused by over-heating.
Damage to the fibre-optic cable.
▶ Immediately remove the parts from the steriliser after the sterilisation cycle is
completed.
▶ Weld the fibre-optic cable in sterile goods packaging.
