The ampli

Directive 2004/103/EC and Low-Voltage Directive
2006/95/EC applicable at the time of shipping.
• The ampli
fi
er supply voltage is 230 V and is a serious danger to life in the event of direct physical contact!
• The only reliable method of disconnecting the ampli
fi
ers from the mains is to unplug them.
• Do not touch live parts.
• The power plug must be easily operable as the means of cutting power to the ampli
fi
er, meaning the wall outlet must be
close to the ampli
fi
er and easily accessible.
• The power must be cut when installing or removing the ampli
fi
er.
• The ampli
fi
ers must not be operated without the standard
fi
tted power supply unit guard cover. The cover must be
closed.
• No liquid-
fi
lled items may be placed on top of the ampli
fi
ers.
• The ampli
fi
ers must not be exposed to dripping or splashing water.
• Permissible ambient temperature -20 to +55°C
Basic safety measures
• Installation must be carried out by authorised specialist staff.
• Unplug from the mains before installation.
• The ampli
fi
ers described are exclusively for installation of HFC networks up to 1000 MHz.
• Any other use or failure to comply with these instructions will result in voiding of warranty coverage.
• The ampli
fi
ers may only be installed in dry indoor areas. Do not mount on or against highly combustible materials.
• The ampli
fi
ers must be provided with an equipotential bonding wire (Cu, at least 4 mm
2
) .
• The safety regulations set out in the current EN 60728-11 and EN 60065 standards must be complied with.
