AC 3
The receiver has an audio output for the AC 3 format. This means
you can enjoy cinema-like sound quality in your living room with the
appropriate equipment. Connect the digital audio output only to a
suitable HiFi unit.
Please observe the owner manual of your Dolby Digital unit.
In order to have the AC 3 format reproduced, make the following
settings: Call up the audio menu, scroll to position 'stereo', set the
receiver to '1 of 2' or '2 of 2' respectively (2 CH). Now, 'Dolby
Digital/AC 3' is displayed in position 'digital output' – if broadcast
correspondingly.
Only a few programme providers broadcast the AC 3 format. If no AC
3 signal can be received, you can merely make the standard
mono/stereo settings or select a language which is broadcast.
