Multi-switches without Kathrein Power Saving do not give signalling to the
end multi-switch. For permanent powering of the LNB, the rotary switch
must be turned to the left side.

Changes in the configuration during operation can lead to undesirable
configurations and malfunction.

Multi-Switch Modes
There are two different modes that you can
set:

A
: 8 (
EXR
): 8 user bands per output are
available In this mode, the multi-switch
uses the same frequencies as the
EXR
single-cable multi-switch series (first
generation).
●
B
: 12 (
EXE
): 12 user bands per output are
available. In this mode, the multi-switch
uses the same frequencies as the Kath-
rein EXE single-cable multi-switch series
(second generation).
Satellite positions
:
1...4 SAT
: The possible positions are presented by means of numbers on the multi-
switch:
●
When operated with Universal LNB(s), 2 satellite positions are possible.
●
When operated with wideband LNB(s), up to 4 satellite positions are possible.
With
one
EXD 1524/2524 it is possible:
●
to receive one satellite in the universal mode.
●
to receive two satellites in the wideband mode.
With
two
EXD 1524/2524 it is possible:
●
to receive two satellites in the universal mode,
●
to receive four satellites in the wideband mode.
To do so, it is necessary to connect the outputs of the two EXD 1524/2542 to a splitter
(EBC 110).
