Katadyn Drip Gravidyn Element Replacement
The sticker provided can be used to remind you when the filters have to be
replaced. Just write on the sticker the month when the next replacement is due.
If used continually for 6 months, the carbon core of the Gravidyn elements may
become less effective at absorbing chemicals and taste. Katadyn suggests repla-
cing the elements after 6 months of continuous use. If the measuring gauge is
able to slide over the ceramic element at any point, without being forced,
replace the element. Indepentend of the time used.
Katadyn Drip Ceradyn Element Replacement
Use the measuring gauge to check the diamter of your Ceradyn element. It can
be used as long as the gauge is unable to pass over the element at any point.
The service life of your Katadyn Ceradyn Element can be up to 150,000 L
(40,000 gallons), depending on the water quality.
Red emergency plug:
If you need to remove a ceramic element, use the red plug to close the hole. So
the Drip runs with only two filters. This allows you to use the Drip
without interruption until you have obtained a new filter. The plug is for
temporary use only.
For transportation, unscrew filter elements and pack them individually, to
prevent damage.
Safety instructions
If you will not be using your filter for an extended amount of time (longer than
2 days), let filter elements dry completely in the air.
- Clean the filter system (container and filter elements) at least once a month.
- Do not set up the Katadyn Drip filter in direct sunlight.
- If a ceramic element is cracked, replace it immediately.
