The fireplace gives off both conventional and radiation heat. It is a very efficient heat source. The
mantle, sides and doors radiate heat and warm up
. Be very careful! The handles, the feeding
door's glass, the furnace surface and the circulating air may be very hot!
In case of a chimney fire or any danger of one occurring, close the fireplace's doors and adjusters, but
leave any damper plates in the chimney flue open.

Call the fire department, if you need help extinguishing it. After a chimney fire, the chimney
flue must be inspected by the local chimney sweeper.

Chimney fires, even extinguished ones, must always be reported to the fire department.

Do not let children light a fire or stay close to the lighted furnace without adult supervision.
Also check the following aspects and their influence on your choice of installation location:

Safety distances to flammable and non-flammable structures, chapter 2.5.

Location of chimney connection (height from floor of any existing chimney connection or
installation route of any new chimney pipe)

Floor material (flammable, non-flammable) and carrying capacity, chapters 2.3 and 2.5.
2. Installation
2.1. Changing the handedness of the door
The door's opening direction cannot be changed.
2.2. Connection to flue channel
The flue pipe connection can be made from fireplace the top, or fireplace back of the output.
The attachment's hole has a diameter of 129mm. This flue channel is connected to a pipe which fits
directly in the interface, or using the supplied attachment pipe. With a bent pipe the fireplace can also
be attached to a flue directly above it. (Helo offers a large assortment of easily installed modular
chimneys under Helo Brand, which have been specifically designed for Helo's wood heated products.)
Minimum pipe length: 3.5m.
The remaining flue opening in the back wall must be covered with the plug and screwable plate that
are in the combustion chamber on delivery.
When the connection is made in the back, the modular chimney's attachment goes directly into the
back wall opening.
ATTENTION! The attachment pipe, the plug and cover plate for the back wall flue opening are
delivered loose in the combustion chamber. When the top opening is used, the back wall plug must
always be pressed tightly into place and the cover plate installed.
When the back wall opening is used, the plug is pressed into the top opening and the cover plate
stored elsewhere.
2.2.1. Masonry flue
The fireplace must be connected to the flue channel with the accompanying connection pipe. Pierce
the chimney’s masonry with a through hole that is 20 mm wider than the outer diameter of the
connection pipe. The aperture between pipe and masonry must be sealed with heat resistant mineral
wool
– do not use plaster! (This ensures the necessary room for movement due to the heat expansion
of the pipe during use). Similarly, the connection pipe may also be attached to the top of the fireplace
by using a 45 degree bent pipe. (Adhere to the required safety distances. For non insulated pipe it is
390mm to the nearest combustible material.)
2.3. Foundation
Make sure that the supporting floor can carry the weight of the fireplace. The base must also be
smooth and horizontal.
If the fireplace is not attached from the back wall to a masonry flue, but from the top, the weight of the
chimney must be accounted for as well. Further information and guidance about the installation can be
requested from the local fire department.
